DAY 6 BEACHES
A well deserved beach day
SORRENTO
“BEACHES”
As a heads up, Sorrento's beaches
differ from typical sandy shores. They
have rocky coastlines and small,
pebbly stretches rather than wide
sandy expanses. Most are accessible
by steep staircases or elevators due
to the cliffs. Platforms and piers are
built out over the water, providing
space for sunbathing. The platforms
have stairs that lead to the clear
waters for swimming. There’s facilities
like sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach
clubs to enhance the beach day
experience.
BEACH CLUBS
Beach clubs in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast offer a blend of relaxation, scenic
views, and amenities designed to enhance your coastal experience. These clubs
provide facilities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, bars, and restaurants, with prices
typically ranging from €20 to €50 for sunbeds and umbrellas, plus additional costs
for food and beverages. Many beach clubs also offer extra services like changing
cabins, floating sun beds, leisure zones, and water sports equipment rental. They
cater to both locals and tourists, providing a safe and convenient environment to
soak up the sun, swim in clear waters, and savor local cuisine. In addition to the
private beach clubs, there are also free public beaches available, offering more
budget-friendly options for visitors. Over the next few pages, I will provide you with
beach club information and a map. Enjoy your day at the beach!
